Teacher’s Guides
Introduction
These guides are based on international research, primarily The Simple View of Reading (Hoover & Gough, 1990) and The Stages of Reading (Chall, 1996). They are therefore not explicitly aligned with the UK curriculum.
These guides consist of three areas of focus: decoding and fluency, language comprehension, and reading strategies, which together lead to improved reading comprehension.
We hope these exercises will support you in your reading instruction!
